Unlike traditional half marathon plans, our Hybrid Athlete program blends endurance and strength training so you maintain—and even build—muscle mass and power while preparing for your race. It’s crafted using data from elite hybrid athletes to optimize both your running performance and your strength gains.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner looking to hold onto muscle or a powerlifter aiming to improve your endurance, this plan meets you where you are. You’ll receive a customized training load that balances interval runs, long runs, and strength sessions to suit your background and goals.
Our 10 week program follows a phased approach—base, taper—mixing steady-state runs, speed work, powerlifting sessions, and recovery days. Each week’s schedule clearly defines run mileage, lifting loads, and rest to keep you strong and injury-free.
Incorporating powerlifting ensures you build and maintain muscle strength even as your running volume increases. This dual approach helps prevent the muscle loss often seen in pure endurance plans, letting you compete at your best in both lifting meets and half marathon events.

You’ll get a detailed training guide featuring workout descriptions, mobility routines, and performance metrics. Plus, access to our coaching team provides feedback and plan adjustments directly within the app.

Most athletes spend 5–8 hours per week on the program, split between 3–4 running workouts and 2–3 strength sessions. Recovery and mobility work are built into the plan to ensure you stay fresh and injury-free.
We recommend beginning 10 weeks before your target half marathon to allow proper development through each training phase—base, build, peak, and taper—so you arrive at race day both fit and strong.
